Meet Chelsey
A Place Where You Can Be Fully Yourself
I believe counselling works best when you feel safe enough to show up as you are. You don’t need to have the right words, hold back the messy parts, or become someone different to deserve support.
A Little About Me
I Don’t Believe Counselling Is About Fixing You
My own journey has shaped the way I understand healing. Not as fixing what’s wrong with us, but as learning to meet ourselves with more compassion, curiosity, and honesty.
I believe our experiences shape us, but they don’t have to define us. Counselling can help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, reconnect with yourself, and create space for something different.
You don’t have to carry it all alone.
On A Personal Note
I Know What It’s Like When Life Doesn’t Fit Neatly Into a Box
My own experiences have shaped the way I show up as a counsellor. I know what it’s like to navigate complicated relationships, major life changes, and seasons when things feel heavier or less certain than you expected.
I’ve navigated divorce, co-parenting, loss, grief and struggles with mental health throughout my own journey. I know the value of just having someone to talk to.
Those experiences don’t mean I know exactly what yours feels like. But they’ve taught me the value of having a space where you don’t have to explain away your emotions, minimize what you’re carrying, or have everything figured out before asking for support.
That understanding is part of what I bring into the counselling room.
What I Believe
Counselling Should Feel Human

You Don’t Have to Be in Crisis
You’re allowed to seek support simply because you want more ease, clarity, connection, or understanding in your life.

You Don’t Have to Become Someone Different
The goal isn’t to turn you into someone else. It’s to help you understand yourself more deeply and reconnect with what feels authentic to you.

Healing Isn’t About Fixing What’s Wrong
You’re not a problem to solve. Counselling is a space to approach your experiences with curiosity, compassion, and honesty, while finding ways forward that feel right for you.
A Little More About Me
Beyond the Counselling Room
Outside the counselling world, you can usually find me outdoors, planning an adventure, discovering a new mountain biking trail, trying something new (I love doing fast sports slowly), or spending time with family and friends. I love being in nature, exploring new places, and saying yes to as many of life’s opportunities as possible.
I value slowing down and smelling the roses, especially when I often wear many hats at once: mom, partner, daughter, businesswoman and friend.
Life is messy. It’s okay to embrace it!
Education & Therapeutic Approach
Professional Training, Personalized Support
I hold a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP), and I am a pre-licensed Clinical Counsellor.
My approach is person-centred and draws from evidence-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness and trauma-informed approaches.
Rather than applying one method to everyone, I adapt the way we work together based on your experiences, needs and goals.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
A Space Where You Can Show Up As You Are
You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out. Our work together is collaborative, flexible, and shaped around what you need.

Warm & Down-to-Earth
I want counselling to feel human. There’s room to talk, reflect, laugh, cry, or simply take a moment when you need one.

Collaborative & Client-Led
You know yourself and your life best. You set the direction, and I’ll help you navigate the way forward.

Comfortable With Big Emotions
Tears, anger, fear, uncertainty, even not knowing what to say are all welcome here. They’re often an important part of the process.

Non-Judgmental & Inclusive
You deserve a space where your experiences, relationships and identity can be explored openly and without judgement.
A Good Fit
We Might Work Well Together If...
You’re looking for a counsellor who will meet you with curiosity rather than judgement.
You want to better understand yourself, not become someone entirely different.
You’re ready to explore what’s keeping you stuck, even if you’re not quite sure where to begin.
You value a collaborative approach where you have a say in the direction and pace of counselling.
You don’t need to know exactly what you need yet.
Finding the Right Counsellor Matters
If something here resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you. A free consultation is a chance to connect, ask questions, and see if working together feels like the right fit.
